What should you bring to consultation?

The more complete your medical record is, the more useful the consultation will be.

  • A clear clinical summary and your current symptoms
  • Colonoscopy and pathology reports
  • CT or MRI reports and the original images when available
  • Previous operation notes and discharge summaries
  • Your medication list, allergies and major medical conditions
The plan differs from one patient to another. Laparoscopic surgery, open surgery, further tests or non-surgical treatment may each be the best option depending on the diagnosis, extent of disease and general health.
